SEO Services by Industry by Dr IT SEO Services

SEO Services by Industry

SEO services by industry means the same core method applied to a different competitive picture: define the business as a clear entity, optimise the Google Business Profile, build the local and service pages, add structured data, then measure against a baseline. What changes between one industry and the next is who you are competing with, what a customer types before they buy, and how far they will travel to reach you. Dr IT SEO Services has worked across e-commerce, vehicle accident repair, retail, clinics, property maintenance, waste management, construction and IT repair since 2010.

Where We Have Proof, and Where We Only Have Experience

Most agency industry pages list twenty sectors and evidence none of them. This page splits the list in two, because the difference matters to you and costs us something to admit.

Industries with a measured result

These are industries where a real client, a measured outcome and the period it covers are on record. The first four are published on our results page, where you can read the figures, see where they came from and look most of the businesses up. The last two are held and dated but not yet published, and that is said plainly below rather than blurred into the others.

Vehicle accident repair and bodyshops. AutoPop Accident Repair Centre in Wednesbury: on 11 August 2026, 38 of its 47 services were measured using the SerpApi Google Search API, 28 of them returning AutoPop at organic position one, with the business appearing in the local pack on 11 of those searches. Nine services are not counted, and that is stated on the results page, not rounded away.

E-commerce and online retail. KelsusIT, a national refurbished IT retailer, where online sales grew from £800,000 to £2.8 million across the period recorded on the results page.

Vape and e-cigarette retail, and medical aesthetics and skincare clinics. LoveVape and Timeless Skincare Laser Clinic are both named on the results page with measured outcomes.

Property maintenance and guttering. This client is described without its name because permission is still being confirmed, and saying so is better than presenting an anonymised case study as though anonymity were our choice.

Waste management and house clearance, and construction. Measured, documentary evidence is held for both, with the period and the source recorded, but neither case study is published on the results page yet. Ask for the figures on the audit call rather than reading them here, because an unpublished result is not one you can check.

Industries we have worked in without a published result

Electrical, AV and smart-home automation. Mobile phone and tablet repair. Creative arts, graphic design and mural work. Entertainment and event DJ services.

The work happened. What we do not have is a measured, permissioned, publishable outcome for it, so no figure appears here. If your business is in one of these, the method does not change and the honest position is that you would be taking the method on its merits, not on a number.

Industries not listed at all

If your industry is not above, we have not built for it yet and have not written a page pretending otherwise. Call and ask directly instead of reading a page assembled to fill a gap. The method is not industry-specific; the proof is.

Three Things That Decide Whether a Local Business Ranks

The map pack decides the phone call

For most local searches the decision happens in the three map-pack results, before anyone reaches a website at all. That makes the Google Business Profile the primary asset and the website its supporting evidence. An agency treating the site as the whole job is optimising the second thing a customer sees.

You are ranked per town, not once

A business covering six towns is competing six times. is a ranking factor in local results, so ranking in the town you are based in tells you little about the town twenty minutes away. Coverage is built deliberately, town by town, or it does not exist.

How far a business is from the person searching. Google names it, as “distance”, as one of three things that decide local results, alongside relevance and prominence.

Shared lead platforms compete using your own reviews

Directory and lead-generation sites outrank individual businesses for many searches, then sell your enquiry to several firms at once. Ranking in your own name is what takes you out of that auction. It is slower than buying leads, and it is yours.

What Changes Between Industries

The method is stable. Four things move.

Who holds the results. In e-commerce you are competing with marketplaces and national retailers. In accident repair you are competing with insurer-approved networks. In clearance and maintenance you are competing with lead-generation platforms. Each needs a different route in.

What the customer types. Some industries are searched in an emergency, some are researched for weeks, and a site built for one serves the other badly. Emergency and project searches behave differently enough that they need separate pages.

How far the customer will travel. A clinic draws from a wider radius than a same-day repair. That decides how many town pages are worth building and which ones.

What counts as proof. A regulated trade needs its registrations published where they can be checked. A retailer needs reviews and returns terms. A contractor needs completed work with dates attached.

What Happens After You Call

Audit. Vlad reviews your profile, your rankings for the jobs you want, and your website. You get the findings whether or not you engage us.

Profile. Categories, service list, service area, photographs and review handling, set for the work you want, not the work you currently get.

Pages. Service pages naming the work specifically, each written to rank on its own terms.

Citations. Name, address and phone made consistent across the directories that list you.

Review. Rankings and enquiries checked against the baseline taken at the start.

Step five depends on step one. We record where you start, because a result you cannot compare against a baseline is not a result.

Our Evidence, Stated Plainly

Where we hold measured figures, they appear with the period they cover and the source they came from. Where we do not, we say so rather than implying an outcome we cannot show.

An agency quoting a percentage without naming the client, the period and the baseline is quoting a number you cannot check. Ask any agency, including this one, for all three.

SEO results depend on the market, the level of competition, the starting position of the site and the budget. We do not guarantee any specific position on any search engine, and we set a realistic expectation during the free audit rather than after you have signed something.

No private blog networks, no bulk link building, no second Google Business Profile, and no directory spam. If a tactic would embarrass you in a Google support thread, it is not used.

Industry Questions

Do you only work with trades?

No, and this page replaced one that implied otherwise. Three of the eleven industries above are trades. The rest are retail, e-commerce, clinics, repair, maintenance and professional services, and the previous page excluded three quarters of the businesses we actually work with.

My industry is listed without a result. Is that a problem?

It is a disclosure, not a warning. It means we have done the work but cannot publish a measured outcome for it, usually because the figures are not ours to release. Ask on the audit call what we did and for whom, and judge it yourself.

Does the method really work the same way across industries?

The method does. The competitive analysis does not, which is why the audit comes first. What differs is who currently holds the positions you want and what it will take to displace them, and that is a question about your market, not about SEO.

Do you offer anything beyond organic search?

Yes. The focus is organic growth through local SEO and web design, which reduces dependence on paid advertising. Google Ads management and social posting are available in the Advanced and Pro plans.

Can you work outside Birmingham and the West Midlands?

Yes. The published service area describes where most clients are, not the limit of where the work can be done – the e-commerce and construction case studies are both outside it.
