How We Work: Our SEO Process, Step by Step
Our SEO process runs in six steps: a free audit, a twenty-minute call, a written plan, your approval, the work itself, and a monthly report measured against the baseline taken before anything started. This page states what happens at each step, how long each one takes, and what you receive. Dr IT SEO Services has worked this way since 2010, from 415 Court Oak Road in Harborne, Birmingham.
- Audit requests sent before 12:00 Monday to Friday receive a reply the same day. Requests arriving after 12:00, at a weekend, or on a UK public holiday receive a reply on the next working day.

The Whole Timeline in One Paragraph
The free audit is delivered within five working days of your request, and the audit call takes about twenty minutes. The plan follows within five working days of that call, with scope and price confirmed in writing before any work begins. Work starts within five working days of written approval, and each monthly report arrives within five working days of the month end. That is about three weeks from first enquiry to work starting.
Those are commitments, not estimates. If a step is going to take longer, you are told before the deadline passes rather than after.
Step One: The Free Audit
Vlad reviews your website, your Google Business Profile and the rankings you currently hold, then sends you the findings in priority order. You get the document whether or not you engage us, and it is written so that you can act on it alone or hand it to another supplier.
This step is also where the baseline is taken, which is the part most agencies skip. See the measurement section below for what gets recorded.
Step Two: The Call
About twenty minutes, with the person who did the audit. The purpose is to work out which findings matter for your business, in what order, and whether we are the right people to fix them at all.
You will not be sold to on this call. Some businesses leave with the document and no engagement, which is a legitimate outcome and one the audit is written to support.
Step Three: The Written Plan
The plan arrives on the timeline above, and it states what will be done, in what order, over what period, and what it costs. Nothing starts until you have read it and said yes.
A plan that arrives as a verbal estimate is not a plan. If you cannot put a document in front of a partner or an accountant, you have not been given one.
Step Four: Your Approval
Work starts only after you approve the plan in writing. Not before. There is no automatic renewal into work you did not agree to, and no stage where silence counts as consent.
Step Five: The Work
What happens here depends on the plan, but the shape is consistent: your profile is configured for the jobs you want rather than the jobs you currently get, service pages are written to rank on their own terms, technical faults on the site are fixed, citations are made consistent, and the areas you cover are given pages substantial enough to stand up.
Who actually does it
Vlad Tabaranu is the founder and the named specialist, and he carries out the audit himself. Delivery is done in collaboration with external professional specialists rather than by one person working alone, which is how a small firm covers development, content and technical work without pretending to be a department it is not.
You are told who is doing what. What you will not get is an account manager relaying messages between you and someone you never speak to.
What is never used
No private blog networks, no bulk link building, no second Google Business Profile, and no directory spam. If a tactic would embarrass you in a Google support thread, it is not used.
That list is short and specific on purpose. Every item on it is something that has damaged a real business’s search presence, and each one is still being sold somewhere this week.
Step Six: The Monthly Report
Every plan starts by recording your current map-pack positions, Google Business Profile calls and direction requests, citation count and form submissions. Each month you receive those same numbers alongside the work completed. Starter tracks 10 priority terms across one location, Advanced tracks 25 across three, and Pro tracks 50 across five.
Each report lands early in the following month, on the schedule set out above. It shows the same measures every time, so month three is comparable with month one. What it will not contain is a metric introduced because it happened to look good that month.
The reporting scope for each plan is set out on the pricing page, and what each measure means is covered in detail on the what we measure page.
Why the Baseline Comes First
Step six depends on step one. We record where you start because a result you cannot compare against a baseline is not a result, and an agency that skips the baseline has removed the only way you could ever hold it to account.
This is also why no ranking is promised. SEO results depend on the market, the level of competition, the starting position of the site and the budget, so we do not guarantee any specific position on any search engine. What is offered instead is a measured starting point, a stated scope, and the same numbers reported every month, which is a thing you can actually check.
What This Process Does Not Do
It does not move fast. Three weeks from enquiry to work starting is deliberate, because the audit and the plan are what stop us doing the wrong work confidently.
It does not include anything requiring your own trade competence. We work from what you tell us about your business and what your published records say, and we do not describe a qualification, registration or accreditation you have not confirmed.
It does not lock you in. Plans run monthly.
Process Questions
Can I get the audit without committing to anything?
Yes. That is the point of it. The audit is free, it is yours regardless, and a number of people have taken the document and acted on it without engaging us.
What if I already have an agency?
The audit still works, and it is often more useful, because it tells you whether the work you are paying for is the work your site needs. You are under no obligation to tell us who you are with.
Who owns the work if we stop?
You do. Pages written for your site, your profile, your citations and your reports are yours. Nothing is held on an account you cannot access.
How much of Vlad’s time do I actually get?
The audit and the call are his directly. Delivery hours are set by the plan you choose and are listed on the pricing page, so you can see what you are buying rather than inferring it.
What happens if the plan turns out to be wrong?
It gets revised, in writing, before the work changes. A plan is a statement of what we currently believe is the priority order. When the measurements disagree with it, the measurements win.
